Winnipeg Photography : Lynne

When I think back to the start of my wedding photography career, I always think of Lynne!  One of the assignments I was given in photography school was to interview a working professional photographer in the field of photography that I was interested in.  So the instructors at school paired me with a photographer to interview that they thought would be a good match for me.  Well, the professional photographer I was paired with was Lynne!  Little did I know that from that interview, she would become a mentor of mine and a friend. I got along great with Lynne and after I graduated from Prairieview, she let me 2nd shoot with her for the summer. I honestly learned so much about shooting weddings from Lynne when starting my career!  She was a great mentor!

During the summer of 2008 when I was pregnant with my son, I needed help with some weddings I was shooting and asked Lynne if she would 2nd shoot for me.  I asked her to help me because I needed someone who could easily take over and produce great photos for my clients (seeing as she was a pro), in case I had to leave for any pregnancy related issues and I also wanted someone who I enjoyed working with. Without hesitation, Lynne happily obliged to help me out! Well, I have known Lynne for almost 5 years now and have seen her go through some ups and downs both personally and professionally.  Lynne is someone I have a lot of admiration for!  She is a strong, beautiful, independent woman, great photographer and an AMAZING single mother!!  She has 3 beautiful, intelligent kids all doing great things in athletics! Her dedication to her kids is truly an amazing thing to see! And I hope that as Lukyan grows up, I will be just as great a Mom as she is!

At the end of January, Lynne and I got together to do some just because photos. So we headed downtown to have a little fun! Well, the photos turned out GREAT! Lynne is obviously a beautiful subject so it wasn’t hard to make her look good!   Thanks soo much Lynne for asking me to do these photos for you!  I had a lot of fun and it was great hanging out with you! xoxo
