During the summer of 2008 when I was pregnant with my son, I needed help with some weddings I was shooting and asked Lynne if she would 2nd shoot for me.  I asked her to help me because I needed someone who could easily take over and produce great photos for my clients (seeing as she was a pro), in case I had to leave for any pregnancy related issues and I also wanted someone who I enjoyed working with. Without hesitation, Lynne happily obliged to help me out! Well, I have known Lynne for almost 5 years now and have seen her go through some ups and downs both personally and professionally.  Lynne is someone I have a lot of admiration for!  She is a strong, beautiful, independent woman, great photographer and an AMAZING single mother!!  She has 3 beautiful, intelligent kids all doing great things in athletics! Her dedication to her kids is truly an amazing thing to see! And I hope that as Lukyan grows up, I will be just as great a Mom as she is!

At the end of January, Lynne and I got together to do some just because photos. So we headed downtown to have a little fun! Well, the photos turned out GREAT! Lynne is obviously a beautiful subject so it wasn’t hard to make her look good!    Thanks soo much Lynne for asking me to do these photos for you!  I had a lot of fun and it was great hanging out with you! xoxo

I would like to dedicate this post to Thaoi’s Mom. Lora + Thoai, my heart goes out to you and your family with the recent loss of Thoai’s Mom. Her spirit was evident in the images (included below) and hers was clearly a life loss too soon.  I’m truly sorry to you for your loss.

Love you girls!! xo

Jennifer’s Mom was so emotional watching her get ready! I love motherly love!! I can only imagine how I will feel one day when Lukyan gets married! :’-)

Justin + Nicole had such a fantastic fall wedding!! They had a relaxed, fun day that started with a first look, great weather (I think it was actually one of the hottest days in September that I’ve ever seen), tons of wonderful family and friends, gorgeous details everywhere you looked by the talented team at Soiree Event Planning, ALL at the beautiful Winnipeg Art Gallery!! You can’t ask for much more!! It was such a joy to be a part of their special day and watch them become husband and wife! Justin + Nicole…you are both soo great and I loved getting to know you and capture your wedding! I hope your trip to Paris was awesome and I truly wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Nicole is very close to her parents…I love these photos below (my 2 photos are the ones in color and the middle one in b+w is Michelle’s) that we captured of her and her Dad!  Such beautiful, raw emotion!

So, without further ado, I thought I’d start things off with a recent engagement session I did this past weekend…..

I first met Marliese at Christine and John’s wedding. She was one of Christine’s bridesmaid’s. When Marliese emailed to tell me she wanted to meet because she was engaged, I was so excited at the chance to work with her. She is easy going, sweet, and beautiful!

We met at the University of Manitoba for the beginning of the engagement session. It was OBVIOUS how in love these two are…and how much fun they have together….and we all just clicked! It was fun watching them interact with each other from behind the camera. They are so sweet with each other!  After the U of M, we headed over to the park for some fun outdoor photos and tobogganing!! They were major troopers and endured the cold…even though it was only a modest (for Winnipeg) -6 C out.  You wouldn’t have known because they were rockin’ it, loving their time together and embracing it wholeheartedly! Marliese + Kerry…you are both soo fantastic! I loved our time together, getting to know you guys more and hearing all about the wedding! Thank you for enduring the cold and being so great to photograph!!  I cannot WAIT for the wedding in July!!
