I could use this page to tell you about how I learned to shoot, where I’ve been published and how much I love what I do – but that really wouldn’t help you learn anything about me.
Instead, I’m going to tell you 10 random things about me. Hopefully somewhere in those things we will have common ground. I love finding connections with people, and I can’t wait to learn more about you and your big day and how I can be involved! Thanks for visiting.
] I love to travel. Passport stamps make me happy! Before my husband and I were married, we once took a job together working as casino dealers on cruise ships (Holland America). We traveled all around the world for 2 1/2 years! Part of the perks of being a casino dealer is that once the ship is in port, the casino has to be closed by international law, so we had all day to be tourists. And at some ports, we were there for a few days to a week, so we could leave for the entire time and only had to be back 1/2 hour before the ship was scheduled to leave port (and we still got paid)! Sweet huh! Some of my favorite places that I have been are Italy, Turkey, Hungary, Norway, Iceland and Hawaii.
] In another life I would LOVE to be a jazz singer! I absolutely love to sing (whether anyone thinks I’m good or not…ha!) and love music. When I have stress in my life, singing always makes me calm and feel better! I once sang karaoke (in Spanish) at a packed house at the Hard Rock Cafe in San Juan, Puerto Rico and did pretty good! However, I had to have a few drinks first to calm my nerves. With that said, some of my favorite singers/groups are: Billie Holiday, Sophie Milman, Coldplay, Jack Johnson, Metric, Sia, Mariah Carey, Ne-Yo, Three Days Grace, Sean Paul and so many more. I’m pretty diverse in my music and have a large collection, however I’m not a huge country fan, but I do like some of it.
] I worked as Structural Engineering Technologist before my son was born and loved it! I worked for a company designing the structural floor framing plans for houses. I also did some roof truss design. It was a challenging job as no house was ever the same. It was my plan to work in that field and have a photography business on the side until my husband and I decided to start a family. Then once my mat leave ended, so did that career and photography is now my only job.
] Two of my favoritests people in the world are my son, Lukyan and husband, Andrew! Andrew and I have been together for 15 years and married for 8 of the 15. Lukyan turned 4 this past August (2012). Before we had Lukyan we could not have even imagined how much joy a child brings. There is so much preciousness between parent and child that it in itself is priceless. I love my family so much!
] I’m Hungarian! I also used to folk dance with the Karpat Hungarian Folk Dancers of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
] I love to cook and bake. I was mostly taught by my grandmother. I love collecting new recipes and trying new foods. My favorite cuisines are Hungarian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Italian, Indian and Central American. I love anything chicken (except deep-fried), am not much of a beef eater and hate eating fish or seafood. I would love to learn how to decorate cakes one day.
] Some other things that I love to do are camping, biking, downhill skiing, reading, and learning new languages. I took Spanish while in high school and then a bit in University.
] I’m addicted to Karaoke Revolution, itunes, my computer, chocolate chip cookies and Starbuck’s chai frappacinos and london fogs. Oh and electronics and shiny things! But seriously, I love Starbucks and cookies, neither of them good for my bottom line (BOTH OF THEM).
] I’m very passionate about my work. Next to being a Mom and a wife, it’s my life!
] I believe that everyone comes into your life for a reason and that our lives have a plan……just like I think you were meant to find me.
